Nanang Suryana selaku pencetus Desa Wisata Gastronomi Hanjeli di Sukajadi menerangkan, ia mendapat informasi tentang adanya Lomba OVOS dan berinisiatif untuk mengikuti lomba tersebut.
“Saya menyiapkan persyaratan untuk mengikuti lomba tersebut, dimulai dari membuat video, paparan dan presentasi tentang potensi desa sampai hari ini mendapat pengumuman masuk finalis se-Jawa Barat,” ucapnya, Kamis (20/10), saat penilaian lomba oleh Juri OVOS.
Ia melanjutkan, sebenarnya konsep Desa Wisata Gastronomi Hanjeli baru setengah jalan, namun sudah mendapatkan apresiasi untuk mengikuti ajang tersebut.
“Kita sudah delapan tahun merintis Hanjeli ini menjadi olahan pangan dan beberapa kali melakukan uji coba. Dasarnya Hanjeli ini bisa dibuat menjadi tepung dan olahan makanan lainnya,” kata Nanang.
Nanang meyakini Hanjeli dari Desa Sukajadi memiliki prospek yang cerah ke depannya dan menjadi solusi pangan lokal.
“Kami mulai kebanjiran pesanan terkait olahan Hanjeli ini. Ada yang datang dari berbagai kota di Indonesia. Biasanya yang order untuk industri rumah makan organik dan rumah sehat yang memakai bahan dari Hanjeli,” ujarnya.
